Hit-A-Lik sources confirmed late night Wednesday that a deal had been struck between Sickabod Sane and Hit-A-Lik Entertainment which would align Sane with the label in a “comprehensive joint venture.”
Sane is the only MC ever retired from Manhattan’s Pyramid Club $1,000 Urban Fire Showcase (hosted by Mental Supreme #NoFrankOCean) after winning three times and placing 7 others.
Sane’s resume includes a decade-long career as a solo recording artist which (at times) called for flirtation with Lady Gaga/Interscope records, placements with MTV/VHI/Viacom and a brief stint ghostwriting for good friend Charles Hamilton.
Besides his prowus as a rhyme-sayer Sane also plays the keyboard, the bongos, the guitar and the drum machine (KORG Electron ES-1.)
Though the details of the terms remain unpublicized one Hit-A-Lik Executive analogized the situation towards Ichiro Suzuki’s recent ego-less arrival with the New York Yankees.
“It’s not about my position in the field or where I’m batting in the proverbial line-up” said Sane “bottom line…Ichiro has to win.”
