Young Frizz (born Darryl Young) was born in Ann Arbor Michigan, and raised on the city’s east-side.
Frizz is well known throughout the Metro Detroit area and Northern Michigan as well.
Having performed as the opening act for Eminem’s D12, Young’s name rings bells in Pontiac, Kalamazoo, Flint, Ypsilanti, Willow Run, Pontiac, Adrian and many other urban cities throughout Michigan.
After numerous incarcerations Frizz returned home in 2010. Upon his release Frizz immediately released his first solo mixtape ‘1460 & A Wakeup’ which featured original production from Drew Money and Johnny Arcade. Also included were features from Dotoz, Young T and Big Body. The ‘1460’ was well received and scored Frizz numerous live shows around the state including slots opening for Tone Tone and K Deezy.
Frizz scored a minor radio hit with the Drew Money produced ‘E.B.T.’ (featuring Dotoz & Jwan G) which made it’s debut on 98 WJLB “What’s Next On The Menu” in late 2010.
